A recent addition at GMoA has been small displays of miniature art in our historical Dumbwaiter and alcove. It began as a branch off of our miniature art exhibition in 2024 and has blossomed into a unique and fun mini-exhibit rotation of various artists.
Currently on display art selections from two artists, Asma Kazi and Christina Cornier.

Asma Kazi
“The center of the galaxy tastes like raspberry sour sticks and popping candy’ whimsically reimagines how our familiar organic ecosystems reflect cosmic phenomena, drawing parallels between micro and macro environments. These works are a cosmic soup of abstract biomorphic elements, integrating seemingly disparate components into cohesive clusters where vibrant life-like forms seem to flourish in unexpected ways, emerging as mutated biodiverse agglomerates, that seem alien yet familiar.”

“This series of paintings is inspired by the sketches I made during the first years of my daughter’s life when our bodies were constantly connected. I would draw the things I saw around me while she nursed and contact napped. My view consisted of baby flesh, receiving blankets, and bits of my changed body. My world felt small yet all consuming.”
