The Garrett Museum of Art is proud to present Cienfuegos, on display from November 17, 2017 – December 17, 2017, at 100 S. Randolph St., Garrett, IN 46738.
During the past two years, several IPFW students from the Department of Visual Communication and Design have traveled to Cienfuegos in the Dominican Republic. Cienfuegos is located outside Santiago and is an area of extreme poverty, high crime, and very little health care. The students documented the people living in these conditions and created a very unique series of photographs that showcase the life and mood inherent to the city.
Cienfuegos will be exhibited in the Blue Room, located on the second level of GMoA. There will be a soft opening on Friday, November 17, 2017 for friends and family of the IPFW students.
