A deep love for creation and a desire to capture its beauty, peace, and grandeur is what most informs the photography of Forrest Van Gundy. Forrest, a retired pastor, photographs landscapes, nature, and wildlife near his home on Golden Lake, close to Angola, Indiana. He is a member of the Fort Wayne Photography Club. Forrest hopes to show the beauty, wonder, and awe that surrounds us. He sums it up quite well in this phrase, “The challenge is to open our eyes, quiet our soul and focus on the gift before us.”
Sharon Gerig began photographing with slide film in the late 1960s. She is self-taught and enhances her knowledge by attending workshops with professional nature photographers. She is also a member of the Fort Wayne Photography Club. She has exhibited at the Fort Wayne Botanical Conservatory, Artlink, Fort Wayne Museum of Art, and other venues. Sharon speaks of her inspiration: “When I photograph, I am inspired to really SEE and use the light and elements that are there to produce a beautiful image.”
