Join us at the Garrett Museum of Art, located at 100 S. Randolph Street in Garrett, on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 5:00PM – 8:00PM to celebrate the opening of our next exhibition, ZAC BENSON : DELICATE MOMENTS IN TIME.
The show is free, open to the public, and all ages are welcome. It will run from March 7, 2025 through April 20, 2025.

Zac Benson’s exhibit, DELICATE MOMENTS IN TIME, is Installation Art: a three-dimensional art form that is designed to change the way a space is perceived.
Installation Art is a term applied to an art practice that involves the installation of objects in a space, which in this case, is the Garrett Museum of Art.
Benson’s art comprises traditional and non-traditional media, such as painting, sculpture, ready-made objects, found objects, and writing. The experience that a viewer can have is different from viewing traditional artwork, such as a painting on the wall, which is viewed from a single reference point. In viewing Benson’s Installation Art, the visitors will be able to actively engage by being able to see the artwork from multiple points of perspective. There is a collaborative experience involved, communicated by the finished product and museum visitors engaging with the artwork.
Zac Benson’s work is, as he says, ”the conduit through which I raise awareness and evoke empathy towards people and happenings.”
Benson wants his art to stand for something that allows people’s voices to be heard.
He is currently Assistant Professor of Studio Art at Anderson University in South Carolina, where he teaches sculpture and ceramics. Benson is an international artist who has shown in Taiwan, Bulgaria, and throughout the United States. His gallery work deals with the relationship between his personal faith and beliefs. His public sculptures in Australia, California, New York, and Washington D.C., deal with the traditional relationship of scale and form.
