The Garrett Museum of Art and All About You Boutique, located at 127 South Main Street, in the heart of downtown Auburn, will be co-hosting “Art + Fashion” on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 10AM – 3PM at the boutique.
Come see the unique combination of fashionable clothing and art in an amazing shopping experience. Art Ponchos/capes and art socks will be available and make great Christmas gifts – never too early to plan! Live models, artwork, and artist, Mindy Bermes, on site, will be sure to make your Saturday a fun fall day away!
Angela Green, Gallery Coordinator, has been wanting to combine art and fashion for a unique shopping experience. After contacting Robin Heller, owner of All About You Boutique in downtown Auburn, they collaborated on an idea for just such an event. They both envisioned live models wearing ponchos that have famous paintings (e.g. van Gogh’s The Starry Night) depicted on them and carried at Robin’s boutique, along with Indiana artists’ work displayed in the windows and around the boutique. Talks and planning soon became the reality of “Art + Fashion”, a one-of-a-kind DeKalb County event.
